img_8448Remember planning for Memorial Day Weekend and the anticipation of a daily stream of succulent tomatoes and sweet corn, post-BBQ evenings sitting with the mosquitos, and pork roll sandwiches on the beach. We blinked and summer was over.  It’s a cliche to speak about the speed with which it passed but somehow it’s too appropriate to ignore.

The doors leading into Convention Hall have been unlocked. On Saturday afternoon I wandered around. There were flying angels…

Convention Hall is a grand old building with grand old bones infused with grand old memories.

Here’s to the summers of the ’60s, when the age of 60 meant old like Mrs. Tashlick old. We were barely teenagers.
